This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Oversee the distribution network within a designated territory
• Identify, recruit, manage, and, if necessary, terminate agency partnerships
• Provide training to agents on Zenith’s underwriting preferences, capabilities, products, and services
• Optimize submission flow to achieve acceptable hit ratios and foster efficient relationships
• Collaborate on new and renewal sales processes with underwriting and other departments
• Assist in maintaining pricing strategies and selection processes
• Explore avenues for profitable growth and enhancing customer experience
• Keep an eye on competitors in the marketplace
• Oversee assigned agents and territory management
• Evaluate opportunities and challenges within the territory
• Engage in the development and execution of regional distribution strategies
• Establish and nurture agency profiles, relationships, business plans, and administration
• Create a pipeline of qualified business and prequalify submissions
• Advocate for the small business plan
• Train agents on various systems, tools, and processes
• Position Zenith as the preferred market choice
• Assist agents in promoting Zenith programs and services, including collaborative presentations to policyholders
• Address customer or service issues that hinder sales
• Monitor agency performance and modify agency plans as needed
• Gather competitive intelligence for the local market
• Educate agents about Zenith products, capabilities, branding, and value proposition
• Conduct agency orientations, training sessions, and joint sales calls
• Promote the Zenith brand at industry, agency, policyholder, and association events
• Enhance the agency and policyholder experience while addressing service obstacles
• Support underwriting and other departments in resolving policyholder concerns
• Cultivate relationships with agents, policyholders, associations, and Zenith staff
• High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Over 5 years of experience in the insurance industry, particularly in the workers compensation product line, along with a foundational understanding of underwriting
• More than 5 years of experience in sales and/or customer-facing roles, including the ability to maintain and expand a book of business
• Exceptional communication abilities
• Capable of effectively conveying ideas in both formal and informal settings; clear and concise thought presentation
• Comfortable with public speaking engagements
• Proven track record in sales
• Demonstrated skills in managing influence
