This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Deliver technical support to effectively enhance the global business with regional clients.
• Create and execute strategies to establish technical leadership within the region.
• Assist in Global Operations initiatives.
• Formulate and implement regional sales strategies for Sustainability Services.
• Engage in sales activities, including technical presentations, proposal creation, and line reviews.
• Oversee the execution of the Technical Product Line aspect of new business endeavors.
• Aid in the maintenance and expansion of existing account sales.
• Contribute regional insights to Global Marketing and uphold technical content for sales and marketing resources.
• Act as a liaison between the region and Global Operations concerning client requirements, capacity, pricing, and standards.
• Manage research and development related to social and environmental audits, sustainable claims, climate change, traceability, and ESG reporting.
• Track regional regulations and industry standards, communicating any changes through technical bulletins and tools.
• Formulate recommendations for clients in response to evolving regulations and standards.
• Revise or create methodologies, protocols, and testing packages for safety, regulatory compliance, product performance, and certification.
• Address technical challenges faced by regional clients.
• Provide market insights on the QHSE and Sustainability sector in the Americas.
• Generate proposals for new market opportunities and relevant acquisitions.
• Develop marketing and training resources, presentations, seminars, and webinars for new product launches.
• Ensure the successful introduction of new products to regional clients, including reaching sales targets.
• A minimum of a 4-year degree in a related Technical/Science, Environmental, or Chemistry field, or a comparable discipline.
• Five (5) years of experience in a relevant technical domain, including progressive management roles.
• Five (5) years of management experience involving technical leadership in Sustainability, quality assurance, product testing, or consumer product manufacturing.
• Five (5) years of experience within consumer products sectors.
• Proven experience in direct customer engagement.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered as a substitute for the above qualifications.
• An MBA or relevant business experience is preferred, with 5 years of progressive P&L accountability.
• Familiarity with Sustainability Services-related management systems is preferred, such as SA8000 or equivalent, and/or ISO 14000, ISO 18000, ISO 9000, ISO 17021, ISO 50001, ISO 14040, ISO 14044, ISO 14064-1, ISO 14064-2, ISO 14067, PAS 2050, PAS 2060, GHG protocol, CDP, SBTI, CCER, GRI, SASB, TCFD, AA1000.
• Ability to think strategically and adapt strategies to evolving market conditions.
• Proven management abilities, including organizational design, recruitment and retention, and personnel development.
• Skills in marketing, client interaction, networking, team building, problem-solving, critical thinking, training, and presentations.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills.
• Advanced understanding of technical concepts, processes, and equipment relevant to the assigned Product Line.
• General knowledge of testing, audits, and technical consulting concepts, processes, and equipment.
• Strong computer capabilities, with medium to high proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Technical aptitude and experience with budget processes and business acumen.
