Manager, Technical Platform Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +3 more locations.

📋 Description

• Develop strategic plans and oversee technology implementations for Digital Imaging, encompassing Digital Pathology, Digital Radiology, and Clinical Imaging.

• Foster collaborative relationships with business partners in areas such as Pre-Clinical Sciences & Translational Safety, Oncology, Neuroscience, Immunology, Data Sciences, Molecular Imaging, and others.

• Recognize opportunities and assess the impact of Digital Imaging technology platforms within pharmaceutical R&D.

• Establish and implement success metrics while executing the capabilities of Digital Imaging platforms.

• Work in conjunction with the IT organization to influence leadership in sector and enterprise technology.

• Forge external partnerships within the Life Sciences industry's Imaging community.

• Manage the team's technology stack for scheduling, communication, monitoring, reporting, alerting, deployment, orchestration, configuration management, infrastructure, reuse, and reproducibility.

• Utilize cloud computing to provide impactful solutions.

• Create sustainable operational processes and resource models.

• Integrate containerization, serverless computing, accelerated AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Agentic AI technologies as necessary.

• Lead, develop, support, and inspire direct reports and the wider team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Science, or a related discipline with at least 6 years of industry experience; OR a Master’s degree in the same fields with a minimum of 4 years of industry experience.

• Demonstrated capability to lead teams, programs, and projects while leveraging business insights to generate new opportunities.

• Proficient in AWS EC2 and S3.

• Familiarity with Windows platform functionalities.

• Experience in vendor management.

• Background in cross-functional and global team collaboration.

• Proven experience in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment.

• Preferred: Expertise in visualization technologies and techniques.

• Preferred: Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or other complex languages.

• Preferred: Knowledge of Linux platform functionalities.

• Preferred: Understanding of imaging technologies like PACS or similar image management solutions and related image analysis technologies.

• Preferred: Experience with Agile methodology.

• Bonus: Familiarity with Chef for configuration management.

• Bonus: Knowledge of container technologies (Docker/Singularity/Kubernetes) and AWS EKS.

• Bonus: Experience with GPUs for computational sciences, advanced AI/ML/Deep Learning image analysis, and predictive model training.
