Manager, Technical Platform Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +3 more locations.

📋 Description

• Develop strategies and roadmaps while overseeing technology implementations for Digital Imaging, including Digital Pathology, Digital Radiology, and Clinical Imaging.

• Foster partnerships with business stakeholders across Pre-Clinical Sciences & Translational Safety, Oncology, Neuroscience, Immunology, Data Sciences, Molecular Imaging, and other sectors.

• Identify potential opportunities and evaluate the impact of Digital Imaging technology platforms within pharmaceutical R&D.

• Establish and communicate success metrics and execute the capabilities of the Digital Imaging platform.

• Collaborate with IT, influence technology leadership at both sector and enterprise levels, and engage with the Imaging community in Life Sciences.

• Oversee the technology stack for scheduling, communication, monitoring, reporting, alerting, deployment, orchestration, configuration management, infrastructure, reuse, and reproducibility.

• Utilize cloud computing to provide effective solutions.

• Create sustainable operational processing and resource models.

• Assess and integrate containerization, serverless computing, accelerated AI/ML/Deep Learning, and Agentic AI technologies.

• Lead, guide, support, and inspire direct reports and the broader team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Science, or a related field, along with at least 6 years of industry experience; OR a Master’s degree in one of these disciplines and a minimum of 4 years of industry experience.

• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage programs and projects, and apply business insight to generate new opportunities.

• Proficient in AWS EC2 and S3.

• Familiar with the functionality of Windows platforms.

• Experienced in vendor management.

• Proven track record of working in cross-functional and global teams.

• Experience in a fast-paced collaborative work environment.

• Preferred: Familiarity with visualization technologies and techniques.

• Preferred: Proficient in Python, Java, C++, or a similar complex programming language.

• Preferred: Knowledge of Linux platform functionalities.

• Preferred: Understanding of imaging technologies such as PACS or comparable image management solutions and/or related image analysis technologies.

• Preferred: Experience with Agile methodologies.

• Bonus: Experience with Chef for configuration management.

• Bonus: Knowledge of container functionalities (Docker/Singularity/Kubernetes) and AWS EKS.

• Bonus: Experience utilizing GPUs for computational sciences, advanced AI/ML/Deep Learning image analysis, and predictive model training.

• Bonus: Experience in implementing GxP projects.
