This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Oversee internal and supplier containment initiatives alongside Operations and Quality.
• Organize supplier kick-off meetings and implement rapid response strategies.
• Perform Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to create and execute supplier enhancement plans.
• Track leading and lagging KPIs and assess containment exit criteria.
• Elevate ongoing issues to crisis mode or assemble tiger teams.
• Work with Commodity Teams and SBUs to ensure closed-loop feedback and transition to sustainable operations.
• Identify and prioritize supplier sites for development based on risk, impact, and strategic commodity requirements.
• Conduct supplier evaluations using SRA, SHA, and Gemba methodologies.
• Engage suppliers through tailored development roadmaps, training sessions, and focused maturity-model actions.
• Coordinate with Commodity Managers and Engineering teams regarding supplier preparedness for new programs or volume increases.
• Facilitate improvement plans, track KPIs, and conduct gate reviews.
• Monitor supplier maturity and initiate sustainment strategies.
• Support ongoing monitoring and cycles for supplier re-engagement.
• Develop tools for manufacturing process technology and standardization, including FMEA and Control Plans.
• Lead or assist in supplier transitions and ensure smooth handover of responsibilities.
• Monitor supplier maturity following transitions.
• Align internal business units and suppliers on performance expectations and continuous enhancement.
• Implement APQP for new product launches and project transitions.
• Generally requires a University Degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Willingness to travel to supplier locations as necessary—at least 50% of the time.
• Advanced command of the English language.
• Experience leading supplier recovery initiatives, transitions, and RCCA investigations for critical quality and delivery challenges, driving corrective actions to resolution.
• Managed cross-functional projects and continuous improvement efforts, utilizing Lean principles and tools.
• Oversaw supplier performance for engineered components and manufacturing processes, including castings, plastics, machining, mechanical fabrication, forgings, and electrical components.
• Presented supplier performance and recovery strategies to customers, senior management, and supplier executives.
• Performance monitoring utilizing MS Office, LOB, WIP, Clear to Build, and milestone charts.
• Must be authorized to work in Mexico without future company immigration sponsorship.
• The company will not pursue export authorization for this position.
