This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Take ownership and lead the near-term execution and technical strategy for the team.
• Guide a new team that provides Unity platform support for a major platform partner, facilitating game delivery to TV and mobile devices.
• Ensure stable platform support across Linux cloud streaming, Web builds, and native iOS and Android.
• Develop workflows for Unity users that enable them to access unique features of the platform.
• Lead initiatives aimed at optimizing Unity for efficiency across a diverse array of target devices.
• Collaborate with core Unity engineering and graphics teams internally.
• Effectively communicate the team’s vision and progress both internally and externally.
• Attract, nurture, and retain engineering talent at all levels.
• Promote a high-performance and supportive culture through mentoring, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
• Proven experience in developing and managing a high-performance software engineering team.
• Strong technical knowledge of desktop, mobile, and web platform technology stacks, utilizing platform APIs to create native applications.
• Track record of successful collaboration with internal Product owners and external partners on technical specifications and interdependencies.
• Expertise as a software engineer.
• Proficient in C++, C#, and JavaScript.
• Capability to assimilate and comprehend a large and complex software product.
• Proficient in English for frequent professional verbal and written communication.
• Optional: Familiarity with real-time 3D rendering techniques and graphics APIs such as Vulkan and/or WebGPU.
• Optional: A systematic approach to prioritizing and developing innovative optimization solutions.
• Optional: Enthusiasm for computer games or real-time 3D experiences.
