📋 Description

• Lead a new team dedicated to providing Unity platform support for an Android-based ecosystem that encompasses mobile to laptop form factors.

• Empower Unity developers to launch titles across various devices while utilizing device-specific features.

• Actively collaborate with the platform partner to define and consistently meet agreed-upon deliverables.

• Work in conjunction with Unity Core Engine, Platform, and Graphics teams on cross-functional technical initiatives.

• Effectively communicate the team’s vision and progress to internal and external stakeholders.

• Cultivate a high-performance, supportive culture through mentoring and coaching.

• Guide team members in their professional development and career progression.

• Research and implement runtime optimizations to enhance Unity game startup and performance on both low and high-specification devices.

• Establish performance benchmarks and collaborate with internal and external experts to assess Unity Engine performance.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to implement measurable enhancements.

• Utilize AI workflows in analysis and delivery where applicable.

• Enable targeted AI workflows for developers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in developing and managing a high-performance software engineering team.

• Strong technical knowledge of Android platform technologies across native C/C++, Java, and Kotlin layers.

• Demonstrated success in collaborating with internal Product Owners and external partners to establish benchmarks, technical specifications, and interdependencies.

• Expertise as a software engineer, with practical familiarity with C++, C#, and Java.

• Ability to comprehend and navigate a large and complex software product.

• Proficiency in English sufficient for professional verbal and written communication.

• Familiarity with real-time 3D rendering techniques and graphics APIs, including Vulkan (optional).

• Methodical approach to prioritizing and developing innovative optimization solutions (optional).

• Passion for the future of computer games or real-time 3D experiences (optional).

• Experience leading remote teams utilizing Agile development methodologies (optional).

• Understanding of when and how to effectively leverage AI in the software development process (optional).
