This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +6 more states.
• Lead multiple Agile development squads within the Software Engineering division, providing scalable and high-quality platform capabilities and client solutions.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Solution Architects, QA, and other stakeholders to convert business requirements into technical solutions.
• Oversee the end-to-end delivery of engineering initiatives with reliable execution, superior quality, and alignment with product and client implementation objectives.
• Mentor and assist engineers through technical guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations.
• Participate in the design and development of distributed systems and microservices architectures.
• Advocate for code quality, automated testing, documentation, and operational readiness.
• Enhance test automation coverage and quality engineering practices in collaboration with QA and SDET teams.
• Establish and refine CI/CD strategies and infrastructure for automated, secure, and efficient deployments.
• Promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Convey technical approaches and decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• 8–10 years of experience in software development.
• 2+ years of experience in engineering leadership or team management.
• Demonstrated experience leading Agile development teams that deliver production-grade software systems.
• Proficient hands-on knowledge of backend and frontend technologies, including Java, Spring, and Angular.
• Strong comprehension of Java architecture, event-driven design, Kafka, pub/sub messaging, and scalable microservices.
• Experience with cloud-based, containerized production environments using Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Capability to establish and refine CI/CD strategies and infrastructure.
• Familiarity with test automation strategies and frameworks, including test coverage analysis, parallel test execution, and CI pipeline integration.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Rest Assured, Postman, SoapUI, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of test-first development methodologies, preferably BDD.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills within a matrixed organization.
• Ability to mentor engineers, foster team accountability, and maintain a focus on achieving high-quality results.
