Manager, Software Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead one or more product development teams through the stages of technical design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing delivery.

• Oversee development tasks and priorities in Jira, while coordinating requirements, timelines, and dependencies with the Product Management team.

• Facilitate alignment of resources and schedules across development teams, identifying needs, gaps, conflicts, and opportunities for resource optimization.

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Technical Leads, Quality Assurance, Cloud Operations, and other cross-functional teams.

• Contribute to the creation of development roadmaps, milestones, delivery plans, and tracking mechanisms for monitoring progress, issues, dependencies, and risks.

• Advocate for AI adoption and AI-driven development methodologies.

• Ensure consistency in development practices, timelines, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.

• Offer technical guidance, coaching, and mentoring to developers.

• Manage competing priorities while aligning development initiatives with product and organizational goals.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience leading a software development team, ideally in a SaaS, enterprise technology, or cloud-based setting.

• Familiarity with Java and/or .NET platforms, along with modern CI/CD development practices.

• Strong grasp of software development lifecycle practices, resource planning, capacity management, and execution of delivery.

• Proven capability to manage multiple priorities, dependencies, and timelines while driving initiatives to completion.

• Experience working collaboratively with Product Management, Quality Assurance, Engineering, and other technical teams.

• Proficient in development and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.

• Desired: Familiarity with Angular, JavaScript, JQuery, or similar technologies.

• Desired: Experience in supporting SaaS platforms and cloud infrastructure or cloud transformation projects.

• Desired: Experience with AI-enabled development tools or AI-driven engineering practices.

• Desired: Experience with the Accela Civic Platform.
