This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create precise and timely total investigator grants and per-subject cost estimates based on study design, schedules of events, fair market value tools, and pertinent data.
• Evaluate changes to study-specific budget parameters proposed by CRO and site teams in collaboration with internal business units.
• Guarantee high-quality, compliant, effective, and timely deliverables.
• Offer subject matter expertise for designated therapeutic areas.
• Oversee performance and efficiency benchmarks for assigned tasks.
• Formulate and present budget scenarios to study teams for OPRB and related discussions.
• Calculate overall investigator grant costs utilizing per-subject cost outputs, protocol design, historical data, and operational strategies.
• Manage changes in study scope, budget adjustments, and execution.
• Act as the point of contact for non-standard budget items that require internal approval.
• Collaborate with stakeholders throughout the full budgeting lifecycle and resolve moderate to high-complexity escalations.
• Develop and improve site budgeting procedures, guidance documents, and best practices.
• Drive process enhancements, training sessions, and strategic initiatives.
• Ensure accurate and timely updates in internal systems.
• Prioritize tasks, make timely decisions, and guide outcomes.
• Onboard, train, and mentor colleagues; may also oversee direct reports.
• Bachelor’s degree with 7 years of relevant experience.
• 3–5 years of direct experience in clinical site budgeting within a biopharmaceutical company, CRO, or site.
• Minimum of 6 months of relevant mentoring, training, and/or matrix-level people management experience.
• Capability to address and find solutions for site budgeting challenges.
• Proficiency in identifying and implementing best practices and contributing to continuous improvement in site budgeting.
• Ability to influence vendors and internal stakeholders effectively.
• Strong understanding of site budgeting practices.
• Comfortable participating in and occasionally leading cross-functional peer teams.
• Capability to lead, manage, coach, and train peers or direct reports.
• Proficient in effectively onboarding, training, and mentoring colleagues.
• Ability to spearhead ongoing process improvements and engage in strategic initiatives.
• Functional subject matter expertise is required.
