This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Develop and implement service sales strategies to enhance profitability for the NA MACS Services organization.
• Lead an efficient team to meet service sales objectives across designated territories.
• Collaborate with leaders in Field Service, Technical Support, Customer Training, Service Operations, Service Marketing, and Product Management.
• Design and evaluate organizational, key-account, and territory-specific service sales strategies.
• Formulate territory-specific account plans that outline service value drivers, goals, and tactics.
• Discover, develop, and price innovative service offerings.
• Recognize service sales opportunities arising from service visits, support cases, and training sessions.
• Establish team and individual performance goals and monitor progress through sales management evaluations.
• Mentor and develop direct reports through call evaluations, constructive feedback, and guidance.
• Conduct annual performance assessments.
• Enhance service sales processes and utilize data-driven insights to convey opportunities, activities, outcomes, trends, and forecasts.
• Act as the primary escalation point for service sales challenges and critical decisions.
• Engage in recruiting, applicant screening, talent selection, onboarding, and job-specific training.
• Keep service sales databases, CRM systems, records, and transactions accurate and up to date.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in a remote sales position focused on service sales.
• A minimum of 3 years supervising a team directly.
• Willingness to travel to company and customer locations up to 25% of the time.
• Proficient in using a computer-based management system or database while executing remote sales tasks.
• Strong attention to detail while efficiently managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of performing physical activities such as walking, standing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and occasionally lifting or moving up to 10 pounds.
• Work from a home office environment that is temperature controlled.
• Experience in the biotechnology, medical instrumentation, or scientific instrumentation industries is preferred.
