This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Identify and conduct due diligence on designated public-market asset classes and categories.
• Generate the quarterly Manager Monitor for EIPC meetings.
• Create and maintain a list of recommended investment strategies for institutional and wealth clients.
• Collaborate with advisors on search books for new manager allocations and replacements.
• Develop primers and educational presentations.
• Present updates, recommendations, and new ideas to the Enterprise Investment Policy Committee on a monthly basis or as required.
• Conduct annual reviews of asset classes.
• Identify short- to medium-term tactical investment opportunities beyond traditional asset allocation.
• Participate in client meetings to facilitate asset-class education, manager interviews, and strategy placements.
• Provide peer reviews and work together on strategy recommendations within The Research Group.
• Aid in new-client onboarding through reviews of portfolios and investment strategies, along with roadmap development.
• Keep Mariner service teams updated on clients’ investment managers.
• Oversee the open investment RFP process for larger relationships within assigned asset classes.
• Attend and present at conferences as necessary.
• Assist with special projects and presentations for new business.
• Mentor research associates.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• At least five years of experience in investment strategy due diligence (preferred).
• MBA and/or CFA charter (preferred).
• Familiarity with Morningstar Direct and eVestment Alliance (preferred).
• Experience utilizing LLMs to improve research due diligence processes (preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized self-starter with effective multitasking abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Capable of regularly sitting, standing, writing, reviewing and typing reports, compiling data, operating a PC, communicating, listening, and assessing information.
• Willingness to travel to other locations and occasionally lift 10–15 pounds.
• Adequate distance, close, and color vision, with the ability to adjust focus.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States must be addressed in the application.
