This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and cultivate a team of Renewal Managers through effective coaching, commercial insights, and clear guidance.
• Take ownership of renewal performance across the portfolio, focusing on Gross Revenue Retention, renewal rates, churn, contraction, and timely renewal execution.
• Develop and sustain consistent renewal forecasts that encompass timing, risks, anticipated outcomes, and necessary interventions.
• Navigate complex customer negotiations that include pricing, contract terms, multi-year agreements, competitive pressures, and procurement processes.
• Ensure proactive renewal engagement while effectively utilizing customer context, risk indicators, value realization, and relationship insights.
• Collaborate with Customer Success to define responsibilities between customer outcomes and commercial renewal execution.
• Work alongside Sales and Account Management to identify expansion opportunities during renewal cycles.
• Partner with Revenue Operations to enhance forecasting, CRM workflows, dashboards, automation, reporting, and operational discipline.
• Create scalable renewal processes for high-touch, mid-touch, digital, and automated customer segments.
• Develop renewal playbooks, timelines, escalation paths, handoffs, and operational rhythms.
• Establish and oversee key performance indicators including GRR, logo retention, forecast accuracy, renewal timing, cycle time, multi-year adoption, team productivity, and overall portfolio health.
• Recruit, onboard, develop, and retain commercial talent as the Renewals function grows.
• Over 7 years of experience in SaaS, enterprise software, Customer Success, Account Management, Renewals, Sales, or a related commercial customer-facing field.
• More than 3 years of leadership experience, demonstrating a proven ability to coach and nurture high-performing customer-facing or commercial teams.
• Experience in managing a significant recurring revenue portfolio and achieving retention or renewal objectives.
• Strong comprehension of SaaS business metrics such as ARR, Gross Revenue Retention, Net Revenue Retention, churn, contraction, renewal rates, and expansion.
• Proven experience in constructing and managing renewal forecasts with a high level of operational rigor and predictability.
• Sound commercial judgment and experience in navigating pricing, negotiation, procurement, contracting, and addressing customer objections.
• Capability to coach teams through intricate commercial scenarios while balancing customer relationships, revenue protection, and long-term business value.
• Experience collaborating closely with Customer Success and Sales teams to synchronize customer strategy and commercial results.
• Strong analytical abilities and the capacity to leverage data to identify trends, diagnose performance issues, and determine necessary interventions.
• A history of enhancing workflows, standardization, automation, or systems to boost organizational efficiency and capacity.
• Strong cross-functional leadership capabilities and the ability to influence Revenue Operations, Sales, Customer Success, Finance, Legal, and executive stakeholders.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to manage detailed commercial discussions and engage in senior executive conversations.
