Manager, Record to Report

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +15 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist in the governance of balance sheet reconciliation, ensuring quality assurance and ongoing enhancement within the Record-to-Report organization.

• Administer quality reviews of reconciliations.

• Advocate for uniform accounting practices and documentation standards.

• Supervise allocated resources and manage two direct reports based offshore.

• Collaborate with Finance and Accounting teams to enhance accuracy, effectiveness of controls, and readiness for audits.

• Act as a subject matter expert for BlackLine.

• Support finance transformation projects that include BlackLine, SAP S/4HANA, process standardization, and automation initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of pertinent experience in accounting, financial reporting, Record-to-Report, controllership, internal controls, auditing, or finance operations.

• Proficient in preparing, reviewing, or overseeing balance sheet reconciliations.

• Familiarity with United States generally accepted accounting principles, financial controls, and month-end closing procedures.

• Capable of analyzing financial data, identifying weaknesses, managing corrective measures, and leading cross-functional teams.

• Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related area, or comparable professional experience.

• Certified Public Accountant or another relevant professional certification is preferred.

• Experience with BlackLine’s reconciliation, matching, and journals modules is preferred.

• Understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley controls and internal or external audit requirements is preferred.

• Background in finance transformation, system migration, process standardization, automation, or accounting training is preferred.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, data analysis, and management reporting are preferred.
