This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain, +2 more countries.
• Oversee daily financial operations and contract management activities.
• Draft and negotiate work order agreements, change order amendments, equipment loan agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and requests for proposals.
• Review, modify, and manage consulting, supplier, distributor, clinical, service, and other non-standard agreements.
• Elevate complex legal and factual issues to the Legal department and assist in resolving these matters.
• Manage the entire contract lifecycle, which includes maintaining contract files, overseeing the contract request system, tracking deliverables, and producing reports.
• Collaborate with business teams to prepare and finalize CDA and NDA agreements.
• Lead the onboarding and training process for new Contract Managers.
• Educate internal stakeholders on contract management systems and procedures.
• Organize and facilitate weekly and monthly contract status meetings.
• Create contract summaries and ensure compliance with execution within service-level turnaround times.
• Assist with business contract requests and monitor execution timelines.
• Obtain necessary internal approvals prior to execution.
• Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and compliance.
• At least 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech contract management or clinical budget management.
• Experience in vendor negotiations and interactions with CROs.
• Proficiency in Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba).
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate effectively across functions.
• Proven understanding of contract lifecycle management processes, including drafting, reviewing, approval workflows, and execution.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical and biotech regulatory requirements affecting R&D contracts (e.g., GxP, Sunshine Act, data privacy considerations).
• Experience working collaboratively across functions with Legal, Finance, Strategic Sourcing, and R&D stakeholders.
• Capability to identify contractual risks and escalate them as necessary.
• Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple contracts and deadlines concurrently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to analyze and summarize contract data.
• Experience in supporting audits or compliance reviews related to contracting activities.
• Keen attention to detail and the ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
• Legal authorization to work in the country where the position is located.
