This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Supervise the submission process and timelines for clinical study quotes related to assigned team tasks.
• Offer mentoring, guidance, and training to members of the Proposal Management team.
• Conduct quality and financial evaluations of quotations using the company’s pricing tools and matrices.
• Provide pricing recommendations that align with the company’s financial objectives and organizational priorities.
• Engage in strategy and budget review discussions.
• Ensure accuracy and relevance of pricing practices in relation to study types and operational procedures.
• Make strategic suggestions on favorable proposals based on financial and operational criteria.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the quality and timeliness of bid submissions.
• Follow up with Business Development Directors to confirm that clinical study quotes are comprehensive and fulfill their requirements.
• Assist with Business Development presentations upon request.
• Maintain the CRM database and ensure the accuracy of departmental information.
• Serve as an expert resource for both internal and external customers.
• Participate in Proposals initiatives.
• Help with departmental reporting.
• Carry out other related duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a science, business, or marketing-related field.
• 5 years of customer service or related experience.
• At least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.
• Experience in a contract research and/or research environment is preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered satisfactory in lieu of the specific education and experience outlined above.
• Capability to perform calculations and manage budgets effectively.
• Ability to apply mathematical concepts to budget management for clinical trials.
• Proficient in managing a team of Proposal Managers and Associates.
• Skilled at reading, analyzing, and interpreting business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or clinical research protocols.
• Competent in writing reports and business correspondence.
• Effective in presenting information and addressing questions from colleagues and clients.
• Adept at solving practical problems and managing situations with limited standardization.
• Capable of interpreting written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule-based instructions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and PowerPoint.
• Quick to learn new database software.
• Experience with Salesforce and SharePoint is preferred.
• Minimal travel is required.
