Manager – Product, Rentals

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Define the product strategy for rental services across Redfin, Rent.com, and ApartmentGuide.com on both web and mobile platforms.

• Manage the rentals roadmap comprehensively, encompassing search and discovery, re-engagement, and communication with property owners.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of four product managers responsible for the rental experience on all sites and applications.

• Create a seamless transition from renting to home buying, positioning Redfin as the ideal next step for renters looking to become homeowners.

• Enhance the self-service capabilities for Redfin homeowners who wish to list their properties for rent.

• Oversee the growth and engagement metrics for rentals, guiding experiments and leveraging results to inform future rollouts and strategies.

• Ensure alignment among executives and business stakeholders by providing updates on strategy, trade-offs, outcomes, and subsequent actions.

• Report directly to the Senior Director of Product, Rentals and AI.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of product management experience delivering consumer web and mobile solutions to millions of users.

• At least 3 years of experience in managing and nurturing product managers.

• Proven track record of developing strong product managers and fostering high-performing, cohesive teams.

• Experience in real estate, proptech, or the rental industry is advantageous, though not mandatory.

• Capable of developing a multi-quarter product vision and resolving product-related challenges.

• Skilled in making data-driven decisions through thorough analysis and meticulous A/B testing.

• Possess a deep understanding of customer needs and renter behaviors.

• Excellent communication abilities to translate complex problem areas into clear action plans for engineers, designers, and executives.

• Quick learner with the capacity to navigate new subject areas and thrive in ambiguous situations.

• AI-native preferred; experience with AI tools for drafting specifications, prototyping, data analysis, and enhancing productivity is beneficial.
