This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Lead and cultivate a team of product managers and product owners.
• Oversee the complete product lifecycle for instruments, software, as well as reagents and consumables.
• Enhance product-line profitability and margins through value-oriented pricing strategies.
• Formulate and implement product strategies, roadmaps, requirements, and a long-term portfolio vision.
• Evaluate market trends and pinpoint opportunities for ongoing improvement and feature upgrades.
• Work collaboratively with customers, field teams, and internal stakeholders to prioritize product needs.
• Perform competitive analyses and create business cases to inform product development decisions.
• Collaborate with Product Marketing on execution initiatives.
• Coordinate with operations on demand forecasting, manufacturing, and backorder management.
• A Master's degree in Cell Biology, Biology, Immunology, Neuroscience, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or Bioengineering is required; an MBA or PhD is preferred.
• Over 10 years of product management or commercial experience in life science tools or a similar industry.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in people management.
• At least 5 years of practical experience in microscopy and image analysis.
• Product management expertise in developing strategies and roadmaps for life science imaging instrumentation and software portfolios.
• Preferred experience with reagents and consumables.
• Strategic, business, and innovative insight to identify and evaluate market opportunities.
• Experience in developing successful products utilizing stage-gate and agile methodologies.
• Capability to collaborate across various functions and influence senior leadership stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally as needed.
