This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Zealand, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the planning and execution of the Payroll chapter.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to the Payroll team.

• Manage the entire payroll function, ensuring timely, accurate processing in accordance with country-specific government regulations.

• Act as the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding payroll-related issues.

• Lead, support, and facilitate the Payroll team’s activities.

• Keep abreast of international payroll laws and regulations.

• Ensure adherence to corporate and country-specific regulations, policies, and procedures.

• Maintain relationships with payroll, accounting, and payroll service providers.

• Develop and implement best practices, key performance indicators, and SLA metrics for the team.

• Report directly to the Senior Manager of Payroll Operations.


⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in regional and global payroll operations, particularly in Australia/New Zealand.

• Strong understanding of global payroll best practices.

• Experience in implementing payroll systems across multiple countries and managing third-party payroll service relationships.

• Passionate about managing teams while allowing autonomy for reports.

• Proficient in software tools such as SAP, Excel, and Google Sheets.

• Possess an analytical mindset with exceptional problem-solving skills.

• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, international work environment with a strong desire to make an impact.

• Productivity-driven with a continuous improvement mindset.

• Capable of working largely asynchronously.

• Fluent in written and spoken English.

• Previous remote work experience is a plus but not required.
