This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the planning and execution of the Payroll chapter.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to the Payroll team.

• Oversee the entire payroll function, ensuring timely and accurate processing that complies with country-specific government regulations.

• Act as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders regarding payroll-related issues.

• Lead, support, and remove obstacles for the Payroll team.

• Keep informed about international payroll laws and regulations.

• Ensure adherence to corporate and country-specific regulations, policies, and procedures.

• Manage relationships with payroll, accounting, and payroll service providers.

• Create and implement best practices, key performance indicators, and SLA metrics for the team.

• Report to the Senior Manager of Payroll Operations.


⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience in regional/global payroll operations, particularly in Australia/New Zealand.

• Knowledge of global payroll best practices.

• Experience in implementing payroll systems across multiple countries and managing relationships with third-party payroll service providers.

• A passion for leading teams without micromanaging.

• Proficient in software tools such as SAP, Excel, and Google Sheets.

• Possess an analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, international work environment and a drive to make a meaningful impact.

• Productivity-oriented, consistently looking for ways to enhance efficiency and expedite workflows.

• Comfortable working largely in an asynchronous manner.

• Fluent in written and spoken English.

• Previous remote work experience is a plus but not mandatory.
