This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.
• Oversee account postings along with receivable and collection operations to optimize revenue from provided services.
• Generate reports on account reimbursements and/or accounts receivable activities.
• Project income budgets effectively.
• Establish a service-oriented approach for the patient accounts office.
• Create and uphold systems for account management, data entry, collections, and general accounts receivable operations.
• Formulate income projections and long-term strategies.
• Deliver monthly reports on income, cost centers, and ad hoc analyses to the Business Manager.
• Foster an environment that promotes staff growth and development through training opportunities.
• Supervise office staffing and ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained.
• Support assistant managers in achieving both monthly and annual objectives.
• Keep the master fee schedule updated and accurate.
• Prepare and oversee the annual budgets for patient accounts income and expenses under the direction of the Business Manager.
• Collaborate with third-party payers, vendors, medical center staff, patients, and families during challenging situations.
• Aid in the formulation of accounts receivable charge and collection policies.
• Assist with negotiations of contracts with third-party payers.
• Support supervisors in the recruitment of staff.
• A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may fulfill the minimum educational requirement.
• Minimum of 5 years of supervisory work experience.
