This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee and evaluate operational performance and objectives.

• Provide leadership, management, and oversight for initiatives aimed at enhancing practice line operations.

• Identify service-related challenges and coordinate corrective action plans with Physician leadership and the Practice Operations Director.

• Assist the Practice Operations Director in designing, developing, and monitoring performance metrics.

• Gather and share system processes and best practices.

• Facilitate research and pilot strategic programs and services to improve operations.

• Serve as a strong and positive representative for the division.

• Utilize practice knowledge to promote standard practices within the division.

• Negotiate, communicate, and coordinate operational changes and new initiatives across various practice lines and departments.

• Develop and execute operational infrastructure plans for systems, processes, and personnel to support growth objectives.

• Manage actual performance against the budget and provide analysis of significant variances.

• Support financial, budgeting, and business objectives.

• Assist with start-ups and provide support for a manageable number of sites.

• Help team members achieve operational and financial performance through tracking and consulting initiatives.

• Integrate Vituity resources and services to support, enhance, and innovate practices.

• Support regional activities and team meetings.

• Contribute to programs and innovation collaboratives by identifying sites and resources and presenting when requested.

• Ensure operational performance and quality metrics in collaboration with the Practice Operations Director and Medical Team.

• Implement, coordinate, and execute policies and operational initiatives for the division.

• Provide operational support, including revenue cycle management, educational programs, and Business Development assistance.

• Travel as required to practice locations to support personnel and projects.

• Establish standards and objectives for departmental personnel.

• Review semi-annual performance evaluations and conduct annual performance reviews and goal-setting sessions.

• Hold regular meetings with department personnel both individually and as a group.

• Oversee recruitment, hiring, training, and counseling of department employees in collaboration with physician leaders.

• Conduct staffing analyses, gap analyses, and forecasts; prepare proposals and evaluate opportunities for growth and expanded practice line functions.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management, Business, Finance, or a related field, along with 5 years of experience in healthcare operations, business analysis, or operations analysis, or an equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating the ability to meet role expectations and ensure success.

• Minimum of 2 years in management or progressive roles with supervisory responsibilities.

• Master’s degree in Healthcare Management, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred, with 8 years of experience in healthcare operations, business analysis, or operations analysis.

• At least 3 years in management or progressive roles with supervisory responsibilities preferred.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for synthesizing multiple information sources, objectively evaluating complex operations, and effectively communicating at various levels.

• Moderate expertise in healthcare operations and a basic to moderate understanding of lean six sigma principles and methodologies.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Proficiency in analyzing financial statements and statistical reports.

• Ability to quickly establish credibility with Vituity and hospital clients.

• Skills in project management, negotiation, and facilitation.

• Ability to motivate and develop the potential of team members.

• Capability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Knowledge of physicians' clinical, management, and leadership roles within the healthcare setting.

• Proficiency with MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Word).

• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.

• Public speaking skills with the capability to present to diverse audiences.

• Proven ability to manage detailed work accurately and promptly, meet deadlines on multiple projects, work collaboratively in a team-oriented manner, and maintain a courteous and professional demeanor both in person and over the phone.
