This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Strategize and implement impactful virtual and in-person KIPP events and programs.
• Collaborate with programming directors to establish a vision, annual strategy, and objectives for cohort-specific learning experiences.
• Create comprehensive project plans that align with programming goals.
• Organize agendas and lead virtual planning sessions.
• Facilitate and assist in planning meetings for cohort teams.
• Offer strategic support to session designers and ensure accountability among stakeholders for timelines and deliverables.
• Oversee webinars, conference calls, and engagement on KIPP Share.
• Manage all event logistics, including setup, registration, session execution, on-site assistance, off-site activities, and event dismantling.
• Direct event communications, covering agendas, logistical information, interactions with instructors and participants, pre-reads, handouts, and binders.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors like hotels, caterers, and transportation services.
• Review, edit, and produce materials for events.
• Print, package, and ship instructional resources.
• Lead budget creation, expense monitoring, invoice coding, and contract management.
• Generate and distribute evaluations and surveys following events.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses of data to guide program enhancements.
• Engage in after-action reviews and promote team learning.
• Maintain internal knowledge and resource-management systems.
• Assist with team operations, manage supplies, track materials inventory, and support special projects.
• Report directly to the Director of Network Events and Experience while closely collaborating with the Schools Team.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, though not mandatory.
• 3–5 years of experience in managing in-person and/or virtual events preferred.
• Experience in a customer service role preferred.
• Previous project management experience preferred.
• Proficiency in tools such as Survey Monkey, Qualtrics, Cvent, Zoom, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong passion for K–12 public education and a commitment to KIPP’s mission and core values.
• Exceptional critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, stakeholder management, and project planning abilities.
• Capacity to manage multiple workstreams, competing priorities, timelines, deliverables, and budgets.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on execution.
• Ability to perform qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
• Proficient in working with high-level stakeholders and facilitators.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.
• May require occasional heavy lifting up to 50 lbs or physical setup of event materials and equipment.
• Flexibility to work some evenings or weekends.
• Ability to work full-time in an exempt position.
• 25 holidays.
