Freelance Event Producer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Assume full responsibility for the comprehensive production of events, from the initial creative briefing to on-site execution and final wrap-up.

• Bring creative concepts to life by identifying production solutions, suppliers, and necessary resources.

• Work in collaboration with Creative and Account teams to grasp project vision, objectives, and expectations.

• Formulate production plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring a balance between creative aspirations, quality, feasibility, and cost.

• Identify, brief, and oversee venues, suppliers, technical teams, catering, staffing, entertainment, logistics, and other production partners.

• Leverage an established network of suppliers and production resources in Madrid to assemble project teams.

• Solicit, negotiate, and evaluate quotations.

• Track budgets, commitments, and actual expenses, identify overruns, and recommend solutions.

• Coordinate production teams and engage stakeholders effectively.

• Direct on-site production, ensuring safe and smooth delivery that meets the expected creative standards.

• Foresee potential challenges and offer swift, practical, and innovative solutions.

• Handle last-minute changes while safeguarding creative integrity, quality, and budget constraints.

• Oversee post-event wrap-up activities, including final cost assessments, supplier reconciliation, and production insights.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in event production, ideally within an agency, production company, or events setting.

• Demonstrated capability in transforming creative ideas from briefing to execution.

• Strong client-facing experience with confidence in direct interactions with clients and senior stakeholders.

• Established connections with suppliers, venues, and production partners in Madrid.

• Comprehensive understanding of event production, technical needs, logistics, and supplier management.

• Proven experience in managing production budgets and controlling expenses.

• Excellent negotiation skills and a strong commercial acumen.

• Highly organized, proactive, and solution-focused.

• Comfortable working autonomously and taking complete ownership of projects.

• Capable of making quick and confident decisions in a live production setting.

• Composed under pressure, able to manage last-minute changes without sacrificing quality.

• Proficient in both Spanish and English.

• Spanish is essential; English is highly recommended, with additional languages being a plus.
