This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Direct the public-facing team of Account Managers and Member Recruitment Coordinators within a designated regional district.
• Empower Account Managers to meet member recruitment goals through lead generation, conversion strategies, partnerships, account retention initiatives, and sustainable year-over-year performance.
• Oversee daily recruitment operations and event execution alongside Member Recruitment Coordinators.
• Collaborate with Programs & Partnerships, Marketing, and Member Engagement & Experience teams.
• Position the NMDP mission for access across various territories and account types while developing insights into local regional markets.
• Lead regional initiatives that enhance efficiency, provide superior service to external partners and volunteers, and foster educated, committed, and responsive donors.
• Partner with regional leadership to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual registry enrollment targets.
• Develop strategic business plans for territories, facilitating access to event sponsors, volunteers, and potential members.
• Guide data-driven account planning and offer territory-specific business recommendations.
• Analyze the Lead → Opportunity → Event pipeline and recruitment activities before and after events.
• Mentor Account Managers and Member Recruitment Coordinators to identify skill gaps and coordinate training and professional development.
• Ensure successful execution of recruitment events and manage volunteer staffing effectively.
• Implement operational decisions and prioritize alignment among territory partners.
• Educate prospective donors about the NMDP mission and the two avenues for donation.
• Address prospective donor inquiries, issues, and concerns during the registration process.
• Ensure adherence to operating manuals, brand standards, business processes, swab shipment, sample reconciliation, and Salesforce task management.
• Elevate regional district priorities to the Director of Member Recruitment.
• Foster collaborative partnerships with internal stakeholders and drive cross-organizational alignment.
• Manage travel and event expense resources with accountability.
• Support volunteer recruitment, engagement, retention, training compliance, hour tracking, and opportunities in the Volunteer Portal.
• Assist in volunteer recognition and appreciation initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or a comparable combination of formal education and experience.
• Equivalent experience and/or education related to the minimum experience requirement may be considered in lieu of the degree.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in leading full-time employees.
• At least 3 years of experience in business operations leadership.
• Minimum of 5 years of subject matter expertise in strategic sales leadership.
• Proven experience in community engagement and account cultivation with an emphasis on retention where defined goals or targets are necessary.
• Experience in managing multiple projects concurrently and prioritizing key initiatives effectively.
• Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Salesforce, and online resources.
• Proficient in utilizing reporting and project management tools such as Looker and Asana.
• Strong knowledge of sales and marketing, volunteer management, event planning and execution, managing a dispersed workforce, project management, and collaboration strategies.
• Capable of managing direct-report performance through coaching based on key performance indicators.
• Skilled in guiding strategic thinking, planning, and problem-solving across diverse territories and accounts.
• Ability to navigate systems within colleges and universities.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to make data-driven decisions and leverage insights effectively.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple projects efficiently.
• Capability to lead through change, resolve conflicts, and maintain alignment.
• Willingness to travel within the region as needed (~25%), with occasional evening and weekend work.
• Occasional national travel required, approximately 2–3 trips per year.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
