Manager, Medical Information

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Act as a subject matter expert for designated product lines and therapeutic areas within Hospital Products

• Oversee Medical Information inquiries, including any escalations

• Investigate, respond to, and document inquiries in compliance with FDA regulations

• Deliver clinical, medical, and scientific information to external healthcare professionals, customers, and internal Baxter departments

• Develop and maintain standard response documents and correspondence within the Medical Information Content Management system

• Evaluate and present the voice of the customer (VOC) to cross-functional stakeholders

• Recognize market trends, customer needs, and evolving clinical practices, and communicate insights to therapeutic-area stakeholders

• Engage in the planning, development, and implementation of Medical Information support for product launches

• Contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing and optimizing Medical Information processes and services

• Stay updated with published medical literature relevant to product lines and convey clinical trends and potential impacts on product lines

• Represent the Medical team in the review and approval of US advertising and promotional materials for accuracy, balance, substantiation, and alignment with approved labeling

• Maintain awareness of FDA requirements regarding the medical review of US advertising and promotion

• Design and implement internal and external educational and training programs focused on medical/clinical issues

• Provide clinical insights and assistance to Regulatory and Quality teams in assessing product complaints and adverse events

• Support Medical Information booths at conferences

⛳️ Requirements

• Licensed Pharmacist with clinical expertise

• Preferred experience in home infusion pharmacy

• A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience

• Helpful knowledge and/or experience with Baxter products and competing offerings

• Exceptional medical writing and verbal communication skills

• Proficient in searching and summarizing medical literature/data accurately and appropriately

• Strong understanding and ability to apply FDA regulations related to medical communications

• Excellent presentation and teaching abilities

• Superior interpersonal skills

• Proven capability to handle conflict situations effectively

• Demonstrated history of responsible actions

• Self-driven with remarkable follow-through

• Must possess authorization to work for any employer in the U.S.
