This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Lead the delivery and support of Linux, Unix, middleware, messaging, DNS, and Tandem infrastructure services.
• Ensure operational excellence through adherence to SLAs, KPIs, incident management, problem management, and change management processes.
• Supervise 24/7 support and facilitate rapid restoration of critical services during outages.
• Drive ongoing service enhancements, risk management, technical debt reduction, and platform lifecycle planning.
• Manage and mentor a diverse infrastructure team.
• Establish performance goals, development strategies, and succession planning.
• Coordinate workload prioritization, staffing, and resource distribution.
• Lead infrastructure deployments, migrations, upgrades, modernization, and automation projects.
• Collaborate with application, security, network, cloud, and architecture teams.
• Oversee platform security, patching, vulnerability remediation, capacity planning, performance, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery preparedness.
• Act as the primary escalation point and communicate service health, risks, project status, and operational metrics.
• Create executive-level status reports, service reviews, and operational roadmaps.
• Support business expansion, solution development, infrastructure planning, audits, assessments, and client reviews.
• A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Over 8 years of experience in supporting enterprise Linux and Unix environments.
• More than 5 years of experience in managing technical infrastructure teams.
• Extensive experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Oracle Linux, IBM AIX, KVM Virtualization, IBM MQ, BIND DNS, Tandem / HPE NonStop environments, and enterprise middleware platforms.
• Proven experience managing large-scale production environments that support critical business applications.
• Strong grasp of ITIL-based service management processes.
• Experience with high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
