β’ Define and uphold the product vision, establish a multi-year roadmap, governance model, and lifecycle strategy for laboratory systems and scientific data platforms.
β’ Align technological priorities and investment strategies with R&D business goals and laboratory requirements.
β’ Identify opportunities for harmonization, simplification, automation, application rationalization, and AI-enabled functionalities.
β’ Serve as Business Owner or provide governance and guidance for designated laboratory applications, including ELN/LIMS, Compliance Builder, and related technologies.
β’ Manage demand intake and prioritization, translating user requirements into business specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and product backlogs.
β’ Lead planning for releases, ensure deployment readiness, conduct demonstrations, facilitate adoption planning, coordinate training, manage hypercare, and realize value.
β’ Execute application sustainment and lifecycle processes, which include incident escalation, change control, performance monitoring, feedback cycles, periodic reviews, and lifecycle decisions.
β’ Develop a scientific data storage strategy that encompasses requirements, governance, application selection, storage, access, retention, archival, continuity, and lifecycle management.
β’ Establish governance for laboratory master data, covering ownership, data quality, standards, change processes, and periodic reviews.
β’ Collaborate with IT, architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity, validation, data integrity, Quality, Supply Chain, and external vendors.
β’ Oversee product budgets, forecasts, timelines, dependencies, risks, vendor commitments, and investment proposals.
β’ Coordinate software, data platforms, cloud, infrastructure, and professional service providers.
β’ Monitor and communicate metrics related to product, adoption, service, and value, including KPIs and OKRs.
β’ Facilitate workshops for requirements, conduct roadmap reviews, govern forums, and provide updates to leadership.
β’ Drive business change management, stakeholder engagement, communications, training, and adoption initiatives.
β’ Act as the main escalation and coordination point for laboratory applications, scientific data storage, connectivity, workstations, access, and related technology issues.
β’ Mentor and train laboratory staff, Business Owners, product team members, and contractors; may supervise a limited number of direct reports and oversee contract resources.
β’ Ensure adherence to GxP and non-GxP requirements, data integrity, validation, cybersecurity, Good Documentation Practice, and technology risk governance.
β’ Comply with Company Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines along with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field with 7 to 9 years of relevant experience; or a master's degree in a similar field with 5 to 7 years of relevant experience.
β’ A minimum of 7 years of experience in a regulated industry, enterprise applications, digital products, laboratory systems, or scientific data platforms.
β’ Proven experience in leading or governing applications, product roadmaps, portfolios, demand, or cross-functional governance across multiple sites or business functions.
β’ Expertise in translating business requirements into specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, prioritized backlogs, and delivery plans.
β’ Experience in application development, deployment, adoption, sustainment, lifecycle management, or continuous improvement.
β’ Understanding of regulated GxP and non-GxP environments, including data integrity, validation, cybersecurity, quality, and risk-management expectations.
β’ Experience collaborating with IT delivery teams, Quality partners, vendors, and senior business stakeholders.
β’ Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with analytical thinking, problem-solving, facilitation, and influencing capabilities.
β’ Ability to handle multiple priorities, make risk-based decisions, and drive alignment without direct authority.
β’ Preferred: Experience with ELN, LIMS, laboratory informatics, scientific data platforms, LabVantage, LabWare, BIOVIA, ComplianceBuilder, or similar technologies.
β’ Preferred: Experience with cloud and on-premises data storage, migration, retention, backup, disaster recovery, archival, and data lifecycle practices.
β’ Preferred: Familiarity with Agile product delivery, backlog management, release planning, Jira, and ServiceNow or comparable tools.
β’ Preferred: Experience in application portfolio management, vendor management, budget planning, and business-value measurement.
β’ Preferred: Experience in developing procedures, process maps, training materials, and organizational change or adoption strategies.
