This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Implement strategies based on a specified whitespace map, focusing on underrepresented regional mainstream grocery and specialty chain accounts.
• Discover new business prospects and evaluate product-market alignment by analyzing shopper demographics, store formats, category dynamics, and competitive factors.
• Negotiate trading terms, promotional commitments, and distribution contracts with new retail partners.
• Oversee the process from initial outreach through to sell-in, contract finalization, first shipment, and scaling operations.
• Manage post-launch incubation by enhancing sales velocity, broadening product assortment and distribution, and setting up promotional schedules.
• Adjust go-to-market strategies based on initial sales data, shopper insights, and overall market performance.
• Create execution playbooks for stores, detailing shelf standards, display setups, and sampling initiatives.
• Keep track of competitive actions and shelf conditions.
• Develop, train, and oversee in-house, outsourced, or hybrid field teams at the store level.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with regional buyers, category managers, and store-level decision-makers.
• Collaborate with broker and distributor networks to enhance coverage and speed up account activation.
• Manage the pipeline, account tracking, and reporting on territory performance.
• Evaluate field team performance using store-level data and retail audits.
• Contribute to quarterly business planning, territory forecasts, alignment of trade investments, and projections for new account revenues.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in CPG food sales, with an emphasis on new business development within regional mainstream grocery and specialty retail sectors.
• Established connections with regional grocery and specialty chain buyers and category managers across various geographies.
• Proficient knowledge of contract terms, pricing strategies, and procurement processes.
• Previous success in meeting or surpassing sales targets in a competitive landscape.
• Experience in building or managing field teams, demo programs, or outsourced merchandising agencies.
• Familiarity with broker and distributor management within regional markets.
• Experience with regional mainstream grocery banners and specialty chains.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales, or a related field is preferred.
