Manager, Investigations – Disputes

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.

📋 Description

• Perform research in economics, valuation, finance, accounting, and industry sectors.

• Evaluate both financial and non-financial data from public sources and share insights with team members.

• Create damages models, conduct forensic accounting investigations, and draft expert reports.

• Operate autonomously while overseeing staff and liaising with experts, clients, and legal counsel.

• Prepare for and participate in hearings, trials, and mediations.

• Occasionally travel as required.

• Oversee the daily responsibilities of multiple engagements and related tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field from an accredited university or college, or an MBA.

• 4 to 10 years of relevant experience in economic damages and/or forensic accounting.

• Must hold or be pursuing CPA, CFF, CFA, CFE, ASA, or ABV credentials.

• Proficient in writing expert reports.

• Strong analytical and quantitative abilities.

• Capability to rapidly absorb pertinent information in new situations and devise innovative strategies and solutions.

• Exceptional analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.

• Excellent listening, verbal, written, technical, and presentation skills.

• Highly skilled in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Willingness to travel as necessary, typically less than 10% of the time.

• Proficiency in English is essential.

• Working knowledge of a second non-English language is advantageous and encouraged.

• Experience with S&P’s CapIQ is a plus.

• Expertise in SQL, R, and other database or statistical software is an asset.

• Previous experience at a Big Four accounting firm is preferred; relevant experience in banking, mid-tier accounting firms, or litigation support firms will also be considered.
