Manager, Insurance Operations – Hospital Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee daily operations related to insurance follow-up and billing.

• Manage and enhance teams focused on client service delivery.

• Track operational performance indicators and identify trends, deficiencies, and areas for improvement.

• Establish and uphold processes and best practices for insurance follow-up, billing, and receivables management.

• Collaborate with leadership and client teams to resolve operational challenges and enhance performance.

• Supervise client service delivery and foster relationships with client contacts.

• Assist in operational planning and initiatives that align with organizational and client objectives.

• Ensure adequate staffing and proper allocation of resources.

• Enhance productivity, efficiency, quality, and financial outcomes.

• Prepare and present operational reports, performance results, and strategic recommendations.

• Ensure that quality standards are recognized, adhered to, and monitored.

• Handle and protect patients’ PHI in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant business field is required.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in hospital revenue cycle operations, including insurance follow-up, billing, or receivables management.

• At least 3 years of experience in managing or supervising revenue cycle teams.

• Experience in managing third-party insurance accounts receivable and follow-up operations.

• Proven ability to monitor operational performance, analyze outcomes, and implement process enhancements.

• Experience in developing and maintaining operational reports, metrics, and performance dashboards.

• Strong knowledge of insurance billing, follow-up, and accounts receivable best practices.

• Demonstrated capacity to lead teams and achieve operational, quality, and productivity targets.

• Ability to effectively prioritize competing demands and promote operational enhancements.

• Capacity to implement and advocate for change and innovation.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Must have a smartphone or electronic device capable of downloading applications for multifactor authentication and security purposes.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

• Ability to follow instructions, collaborate with team members, and manage stress effectively.

• Must adhere to Information Security and HIPAA policies and procedures.

• Must limit access to PHI to the minimum necessary and handle, protect, and disclose PHI according to HIPAA standards.
