This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.
• Oversee the IT systems and DevOps engineering teams; prioritize tasks, manage staffing, evaluate performance, and handle on-call/escalation duties alongside development.
• Take responsibility for infrastructure availability, capacity management, patching, backup/recovery, monitoring, lifecycle management, cloud operations, and the reduction of technical debt.
• Coordinate major incidents, conduct root-cause analyses, manage changes, maintenance windows, and organize disaster recovery exercises.
• Ensure that infrastructure controls meet security and SOC 2 compliance requirements, encompassing access control, logging, vulnerability management, change management, backup procedures, and evidence expectations.
• Maintain up-to-date architecture diagrams, runbooks, inventory lists, standards, dependencies, and recovery documentation.
• Oversee infrastructure/cloud vendors, including management of licensing, costs, and service performance metrics.
• Collaborate with production and business teams to plan changes and minimize disruptions to operations.
• Execute all other responsibilities as assigned.
• A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, along with five (5) years of pertinent experience in infrastructure, systems administration, cloud operations, or technology operations; OR an Associate degree in a related field and eight (8) years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience in leading or supervising technical personnel, projects, vendors, or operational priorities.
• Proven experience in supporting enterprise-level infrastructure, which includes servers, networks, cloud platforms, backup/recovery systems, monitoring, incident response, change management, and security protocols.
• In-depth knowledge of infrastructure operations.
• Advanced expertise in people leadership/mentorship, cloud/server/virtualization technologies, backup/disaster recovery and resilience, incident/change/problem management, as well as vendor and cost management.
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Capability to adhere to standards for change management, documentation, escalation, and risk management.
