This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +24 more states.
• Oversee a team responsible for creating and implementing sourcing strategies across various categories.
• Provide direction and training to staff involved in sourcing events, as well as in the development of project plans, category profiles, strategies, requirements, evaluation criteria, and solicitations.
• Lead the creation and execution of RFP, RFI, RFQ, and other bidding documents.
• Manage status reports and performance metrics related to sourcing and category management activities.
• Analyze and predict complex market and industry trends while sharing expertise in the healthcare sector.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to formulate business and sourcing strategies, as well as to procure products and services using various tools, processes, and analytics.
• Assess sourcing outcomes from a total-cost-of-ownership viewpoint and offer recommendations for optimization.
• Engage in intricate, cross-functional vendor negotiations that require specialized knowledge and risk management.
• Direct supplier category management and performance within a designated category.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with vendor personnel, enhancing vendor engagement.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to execute category management plans.
• Create procedures, training programs, initiatives, specifications, and suggestions for process or policy enhancements.
• Bachelor's degree or higher where applicable.
• Over 8 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Alternatively, 10+ years of experience in a relevant field may substitute for a degree.
• Proven success in developing and implementing sourcing strategies in complex, multi-category healthcare settings.
• Background in healthcare analytics, utilization management, care management, payment integrity, and pharmacy.
• Familiarity with contract types such as SaaS and services, along with diverse pricing models.
• Proficiency in contract negotiation and drafting.
• Capability to establish cross-functional relationships, influence senior stakeholders, and spearhead enterprise-wide initiatives.
• Experience in nurturing collaborative cultures and providing coaching and mentorship.
• Proven track record in leading vendor selection and strategic partner assessment and onboarding in healthcare.
• Ability to recognize cost-saving opportunities and execute value-based sourcing initiatives.
• Skilled in managing multiple priorities and adapting to evolving business needs.
• Strong knowledge of compliance, risk management, and regulatory frameworks within sourcing and category management.
• Outstanding communication, leadership, and change management abilities.
• Dedication to continuous improvement and keeping abreast of healthcare sourcing and procurement trends, regulations, and best practices.
