This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Achieve or surpass sales targets and quotas.
• Comprehend disease states to effectively communicate and educate stakeholders.
• Promote products and stimulate adoption.
• Analyze the competitive landscape and market dynamics.
• Evaluate territory and account data to uncover business opportunities.
• Prioritize sales initiatives, assess targets, accomplish objectives, and monitor sales impact.
• Cultivate relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and implement programs aligned with product strategy to drive sales outcomes.
• Build and sustain relationships with internal colleagues and external healthcare professionals/customers.
• Ensure adherence to relevant laws, policies, and procedures.
• Fulfill expectations for speaker events and utilize available resources.
• Address challenges related to distribution channels, access, competition, and market dynamics.
• Grasp reimbursement models and value propositions pertinent to hospital economics.
• Launch and market products while educating healthcare professionals on intricate clinical disease-state information.
• Support product launches and Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) formulary approval processes in the San Jose, California region.
• Collaborate with cross-functional healthcare professionals, including specialists in hepatology, nephrology, critical care, and intensivists.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; MBA is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in hospital sales and/or rare disease, critical care, or a focus in hepatology/nephrology.
• Strong technical and clinical presentation skills along with effective selling abilities.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
• Demonstrated history of sales success.
• Excellent business insight, planning, and organizational capabilities.
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills while working with various business partners.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Must successfully complete all product training assessments.
• Willingness to travel overnight as needed.
• Proficient computer skills are essential.
• Experience in academic and community institutional selling is preferred.
• Familiarity with the institutional contracting process is preferred.
