This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead, mentor, and cultivate a team of SREs dedicated to enhancing Developer Experience and Engineering Productivity.
• Establish the long-term vision for developer tooling throughout Sprout.
• Propel the advancement of Continuous Delivery, deployment automation, and release workflows.
• Spearhead modernization initiatives within the CI/CD ecosystem.
• Develop secure-by-default engineering workflows in collaboration with Infrastructure and Security teams.
• Direct the technical strategy for internal platforms that support development, deployment, monitoring, and operational excellence.
• Promote best practices in automation, reliability, testing, and operational maturity.
• Enhance software delivery performance utilizing DORA metrics and engineering health indicators.
• Facilitate AI-assisted engineering workflows and autonomous development tooling.
• Collaborate with Product Engineering teams to prioritize enhancements that boost developer velocity.
• Oversee deployment platforms, release management, engineering observability, source control automation, and internal developer portals.
• Cultivate an inclusive and collaborative engineering culture centered on continuous improvement.
• Lead quarterly planning, create productivity roadmaps, mentor engineers, and establish metrics for platform health and adoption.
• 3-5+ years of experience managing software engineering teams.
• 7+ years of experience in building and operating production software systems.
• Proven experience in leading cross-functional technical initiatives across various engineering organizations.
• Experience in designing and operating CI/CD systems and modern software delivery pipelines.
• Familiarity with cloud-native platforms such as Kubernetes and AWS.
• Track record of enhancing engineering productivity through automation.
• Experience with GitHub Actions or comparable CI/CD platforms.
• Background in leading Developer Experience or Platform Engineering teams.
• Experience in deployment orchestration and release automation.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code and platform automation.
• Proven experience in implementing software delivery metrics like DORA.
• Experience in evaluating or implementing AI-assisted software development workflows.
• Familiarity with observability platforms such as Datadog, Sentry, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
• Previous experience supporting internal engineering platforms utilized by large engineering organizations.
