This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the analysis of global and regional energy market trends, which includes shifts in the market, technology adoption, policy modifications, and changing customer requirements.
• Create and sustain enterprise market intelligence alongside GE Vernova’s House View.
• Assist in strategic planning, portfolio choices, and business growth priorities.
• Evaluate long-term trends in energy demand and supply, drivers of electrification growth, energy security, and the resilience needs of power systems.
• Collaborate with forecasting teams to synchronize market assumptions, scenarios, and outlooks across various regions and business units.
• Assess power market dynamics, trends in electricity pricing, and the techno-economic viability of generation, grid, and storage technologies.
• Analyze the effects of policy, regulation, market structure, and investment cues on energy infrastructure decisions and the adoption of technology.
• Identify market opportunities and potential disruptions arising from emerging technologies, business models, and strategic adjacencies.
• Work in conjunction with Strategy, Ventures, and Advanced Research teams.
• Prepare insights, recommendations, and presentations that are ready for executive review for senior stakeholders.
• Report directly to the Executive Director of Market Analytics & Business Intelligence within Corporate Strategy & Market Analytics.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, finance, economics, business, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• At least 8 years of experience in energy markets, power markets, corporate strategy, market analytics, strategic planning, growth strategy, or a related domain.
• Robust understanding of energy and power market fundamentals, fuel markets, energy policy, market design, and techno-economic analysis.
• Proven experience in conducting energy market research and converting data-driven analyses into strategic recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated capability to address complex business challenges, develop analytical frameworks, draw conclusions, and communicate recommendations effectively.
• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 15–20%, as business requirements dictate.
• Experience with power market modeling, capacity expansion modeling, production cost modeling, or similar analytical tools.
• Proficiency in using Python or comparable tools for data analysis, automation, modeling, or visualization.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States for this position.
