This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the energy management strategy for Inspire Brands within the company-owned portfolio.
• Act as the business owner for Energy Management Systems (EMS), Connected Kitchen, Open Kitchen, and upcoming energy management technologies.
• Set platform priorities, enhancements, governance, reporting, and strategies for adoption.
• Cultivate relationships with EMS providers, utility consultants, energy vendors, utility companies, and strategic partners.
• Establish vendor KPIs, conduct regular business reviews, and promote continuous improvement.
• Create and execute utility reduction programs and energy optimization initiatives.
• Utilize energy dashboards and reporting tools to pinpoint consumption trends, outliers, savings possibilities, and operational risks.
• Improve reporting, analytics, and visibility with internal stakeholders.
• Formulate and oversee utility rebate and incentive strategies across all brands.
• Detect rebate opportunities, prioritize projects based on ROI, and maximize incentive capture.
• Construct business cases, savings analyses, lifecycle cost evaluations, ROI models, and recommendations for capital investments.
• Support enterprise sustainability and ESG initiatives through the management of utility data, reporting, and energy performance analysis.
• Collaborate with Facilities, Operations, Equipment Innovation, Restaurant Technology, Finance, Procurement, utility providers, and strategic vendors.
• Assess and implement emerging technologies that align with operational and financial objectives.
• A minimum of a 4-year degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Construction Management, Business, Finance, Sustainability, or a related field.
• Over 5 years of experience in facilities management, energy management, utilities, engineering, building systems, restaurant operations, or related areas.
• Proven experience in leading enterprise programs, cross-functional initiatives, and strategic projects.
• Skilled in developing financial analyses, business cases, ROI models, and recommendations for capital investments.
• Proficient in using data analytics to identify trends, prioritize opportunities, and influence business decisions.
• Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple initiatives while achieving measurable outcomes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Comprehensive understanding of utility management, HVAC, refrigeration, lighting, controls, and building management systems.
• Ability to utilize reporting and analytics tools to uncover opportunities and drive actions.
• Knowledgeable about utility rate structures, utility rebates, incentives, and energy efficiency programs.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and convert findings into actionable business recommendations.
• Financial acumen, including capital planning, ROI analysis, and cost-benefit evaluation.
• Excellent project and program management abilities.
• Capability to communicate and present complex analyses and recommendations to both executive and operational audiences.
• Experience in managing vendor relationships through performance metrics, scorecards, and KPIs.
• Strategic thinking and a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Ability to assess emerging technologies and propose scalable solutions.
• Preferred: Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or a comparable industry certification.
• Preferred: Certified Energy Auditor (CEA), LEED Accredited Professional, or equivalent industry certification.
• Preferred: Background in multi-unit restaurant, retail, hospitality, healthcare, or commercial facilities environments.
• Preferred: Familiarity with EMS, BAS, BMS, IoT platforms, or Connected Kitchen technologies.
• Preferred: Experience in managing utility rebate and incentive programs.
• Preferred: Background in working with utility providers, energy consultants, and technology vendors.
• Preferred: Experience in implementing energy efficiency or smart building technologies across multiple locations.
