Manager, Diligence Production Flow

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Oversee the creation and delivery of provided services.

• Directly supervise the Loan Review Quality Control team.

• Present findings to both clients and management stakeholders.

• Collaborate closely with internal departments to coordinate due diligence and address business needs.

• Analyze client scope, guidelines, and requirements, then convey them to the team for each project.

• Manage Quality Control analysts and facilitate the feedback process.

• Drive production objectives related to both quantity and quality while meeting service level agreements (SLAs).

• Communicate internally with the VP of Operations to ensure real-time incorporation of feedback.

• Comprehend and articulate daily, weekly, and monthly system and operational processes.

• Identify trends or inconsistencies that may signal broader issues.

• Assess inquiry problems, determine resolution steps, and communicate effectively with all involved parties.

• Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance policies.

• Establish team goals, objectives, and employee performance plans.

• Track progress and provide timely feedback and coaching to enhance staff performance and skills.

• Engage with senior management to align the team with organizational goals, address complex issues, and report actionable items.

• Maintain management reporting with contributions from the Operations Executive.

• Monitor and report results against established metrics by business and across combined entities.

• Enhance and maintain the overall client experience.

• Foster a culture that encourages the timely escalation and resolution of client and non-client related issues.


⛳️ Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in residential mortgage, with a preference for those whose experience is primarily in due diligence services.

• Comprehensive understanding of credit, compliance, valuation, and fraud risk related to residential mortgage loans.

• Creative analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, utilizing a broad range of information to identify current conditions and requirements.

• Strong knowledge of loan products, particularly: Non-QM, Business Purpose Loans, Second Lien, and Equity products, in addition to compliance reviews for seasoned loans.

• Capability to efficiently and accurately research complex documents and present findings in a clear and thoughtful manner.

• Solid understanding of the client’s profile, their business, and risk appetite.

• Excellent skills in managing client relationships.

• In-depth knowledge of transaction components that may indicate potential fraud.

• Must be self-motivated, innovative, and able to work collaboratively while independently sharing knowledge and ideas.

• Strong professional and interpersonal communication skills, both verbally and in written electronic correspondence.

• Ability to perform well under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.

• High level of confidentiality to protect privacy rights.

• Exceptional listening skills and the ability to exercise good judgment.

• Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) or higher from an accredited four-year college or university is preferred.

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and/or training is required.

• Experience working with large companies in the mortgage chain.

• Background in mortgage operations (servicing, due diligence, and origination).

• Over 8 years of experience in transaction management, contract review, project management, or a related field.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) is required.

• Previous experience with due diligence applications is required; familiarity with project management software is preferred.

• Some travel may be necessary.
