This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and oversee the Data Engineering & Delivery team
• Design and manage data infrastructure, data ingestion solutions, ETL pipelines, robust data products, and data delivery systems
• Provide timely and effective data products and systems that address DSPE business needs and project objectives
• Assess, report, and enhance operational efficiency
• Mentor and train team members on technologies, processes, and best practices
• Convert business needs and project specifications into technical requirements and implementation strategies
• Develop maintainable design documentation for data system architecture, ETL pipelines, data delivery solutions, and associated tools
• Participate in the development, testing, deployment, validation, maintenance, and updates of data products and systems
• Enhance and uphold operational procedures for compliance, quality, and efficiency
• Create training resources and take part in training initiatives
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align roadmaps, resolve dependencies, and share performance metrics
• Represent the Data Engineering & Delivery team during stakeholder meetings
• Assist Natera's Lab Operations and Genetic Counselor/Lab Director teams with data products and delivery systems
• Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Management Science, Operational Research, or a related field
• At least 5 years of relevant industry experience with a Master's degree
• At least 2 years of relevant industry experience with a Doctorate degree
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a highly regulated environment, such as CLIA and/or FDA-compliant settings
• A minimum of 2 years of management experience leading a Data Engineering, Data Production/Delivery, or Data Analytics team
• Proven leadership and team management abilities
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python
• Expertise in data analysis and statistical methods
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or AWS QuickSight
• Experience in building data products, including data aggregation, extraction, transformation, and quality control
• Proficiency in Git workflow and version control systems such as GitHub and/or GitLab
• Working knowledge of genomics and bioinformatics workflows
• Good documentation practices and coding standards
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal abilities
• High integrity
• Doctorate degree, R, dbt, human genetics, healthcare data, electronic health records (EHR), and clinical terminology are advantageous
