Manager, Data Quality Assurance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Convert business-defined data quality standards into technical implementations utilizing SQL validations, profiling rules, scorecards, and pipeline controls.

• Establish data validation, cleansing, and standardization across various enterprise data domains.

• Collaborate with functional teams to implement and oversee data quality controls within master data domains.

• Execute enterprise data quality frameworks, focusing on rule standardization, threshold management, and alignment with critical data elements.

• Conduct data profiling and validation, which includes completeness checks, duplicate analysis, pattern validation, referential integrity checks, and anomaly detection.

• Configure and support Informatica CDGC functionalities, encompassing dataset onboarding, metadata ingestion, catalog enrichment, governed asset management, and business glossary mapping.

• Create and maintain data quality rule mappings, scorecards, dashboards, and data health visibility.

• Assist with CDE classification, governed data asset onboarding, and data product registration within CDGC and the data marketplace.

• Support and verify technical and business data lineage for traceability and impact analysis.

• Conduct root cause analysis on data quality issues, validate solutions through regression testing, and suggest upstream process enhancements.

• Collaborate with data stewards, governance leads, data engineers, application teams, and business stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Statistics, or a related field; or 6 years with a Master's degree; or 3 years with a PhD; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Practical experience in data quality, metadata management, master data management, data engineering, or governance-focused technical roles.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Informatica CDGC, including metadata curation, dataset onboarding, catalog management, data quality rule mapping, and data quality visibility.

• Experience with Purview, Alation, Collibra, CluedIn, or similar data quality tools.

• Strong working knowledge of customer, supplier, and finance master data domains across ERP systems.

• Solid experience with Python or R for automation purposes.

• Familiarity with ETL tools, data profiling software, or cloud data warehouses such as Azure Data Stack, Microsoft Fabric, or Azure Databricks.

• Knowledge of business glossaries, CDEs, data lineage, and governed metadata management.

• Proficient SQL skills and experience querying databases, developing or supporting ETL, IDMC, and SQL-based data pipelines.

• Experience with data profiling, data validation, issue investigation, root cause analysis, regression testing, and remediation tracking.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

• Ability to translate complex technical data issues into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.

• Preferred: experience with enterprise master data management initiatives.

• Preferred: experience in building or supporting data quality scorecards and dashboards using Power BI or similar platforms.

• Preferred: familiarity with cloud data platforms such as SILK, Azure Data Stack, Microsoft Fabric, or Azure Databricks.

• Preferred: understanding of MDM concepts including match/merge, survivorship, validation rules, and reference data management.

• Preferred: experience in supporting data product enablement, self-service analytics, or data marketplace initiatives.

• Preferred: basic scripting experience with Python, Spark, or related technologies.

• Must be able to lift up to fifteen (15) pounds.
