📋 Description

• Assemble and guide a team dedicated to enhancing power, space, and infrastructure capacity throughout the global data center network.

• Take responsibility for the data center capacity function, concentrating on the optimization of power utilization, conducting audits, and planning capacity.

• Lead and develop a small engineering team as the data center footprint and business requirements evolve.

• Manage and oversee comprehensive capacity planning related to power, cooling, space, and overall availability.

• Evaluate and project necessary capacity at the rack, row, and room levels.

• Maximize power utilization to enhance efficiency and value from the current footprint.

• Utilize DCIM software and tools for precise capacity planning and inventory management.

• Establish, implement, and refine infrastructure capacity requirements and reporting standards.

• Ensure swift execution and data integrity throughout forecasting processes.

• Lead regular physical audit execution and ensure readiness.

• Maintain asset and capacity data accuracy and integrity to comply with SOC 2 and SOX regulations.

• Aid project management by monitoring, creating, and enforcing service level agreements (SLAs).

• Supervise the planning and decommissioning of equipment at the end of its lifecycle.


⛳️ Requirements

• U.S. citizenship or Green Card/permanent resident status is required.

• Demonstrated experience in leveraging AI technologies to improve decision-making, streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and achieve business results.

• Over 7 years of experience in critical environments, specifically in data center capacity and power management.

• Proven track record in optimizing power utilization and capacity within data centers or similar critical infrastructure settings.

• Experience in a cutting-edge, technical, hands-on environment, utilizing technology to manage and expand operations.

• Background in personnel management, team development, and building or growing a team.

• Experience in influencing and leading groups, partners, and suppliers across various disciplines.

• Strong understanding of data center power, cooling, network, structured cabling, server, and storage infrastructure.

• Practical experience with DCIM software for capacity planning and inventory management.

• In-depth knowledge of capacity planning best practices: asset management, performance metrics usage, early and frequent capacity controls, and capacity planning tools.

• Familiarity with capacity assessment methodologies at the rack, row, and room levels.

• Direct experience in conducting physical audits to support SOC 2 and SOX compliance requirements.

• Background in equipment end-of-life planning and decommissioning processes.

• Highly detail-oriented with excellent spreadsheet analysis capabilities (e.g., advanced Excel/Google Sheets and AI models for capacity modeling, asset tracking, and reporting).

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to foster trust and influence across cross-functional teams.

• Willingness to undergo and successfully complete additional background and fingerprint checks as required by government clients.
