Manager – Data & Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Guide the team through practical development utilizing SQL and, on occasion, Python, while creating data visualizations in Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools, and designing data models in Snowflake, Databricks, or similar platforms.

• Oversee the design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of comprehensive data pipelines and analytical environments using BigQuery, Cloud Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Looker.

• Manage projects and teams from initiation through requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment phases.

• Conduct workshops, provide progress updates, and facilitate meetings at the executive levels of client organizations.

• Ensure client satisfaction through consistent support and high-quality project delivery.

• Transform complex business challenges into actionable strategies.

• Identify potential risks and issues, offering mitigation strategies as needed.

• Participate in internal growth initiatives, including mentorship, recruitment, strategy formulation, and methodology enhancement.

• Support the enterprise data architecture, ensuring integrated and high-quality data across various systems and business units.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Project Management, Process, Implementation, System Integration, and SDLC, working closely with data professionals in an Agile setting.

• 7+ years of experience in a consulting or data-centric role.

• Expert-level proficiency in SQL, particularly with Snowflake, Databricks, Teradata, Redshift, BigQuery, MS SQL Server, or similar databases.

• Hands-on experience with business-driven/self-service BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar.

• Experience in designing and constructing relational databases and/or data warehouses.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Strong desire to help build and lead a top-tier data practice.

• Experience in the Media & Entertainment and/or Consumer Products sectors.

• Background in a large consulting firm.

• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like AWS or others.

• Capability to automate data-related tasks using scripts and programming languages.

• Skill in profiling, exploring, and analyzing data to recognize common data patterns.

• Proficiency in presenting data solutions to business stakeholders with a clear understanding of business context.

• Familiarity with dbt.
