Manager – Corporate IT Audit, SOC Reporting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee SOC 1 and SOC 2 audits from inception to completion

• Analyze testing outcomes and pinpoint control deficiencies

• Ensure that audit reports are precise and of high quality

• Act as the subject matter authority for SOC reporting

• Assess IT and business-related risks

• Detect control weaknesses and propose solutions

• Collaborate with stakeholders to implement enhancements

• Mentor, guide, and assist members of the audit team

• Assign tasks and enhance team competencies

• Liaise with business units, control owners, and external auditors

• Present audit findings, risks, and recommendations

• Represent the SOC Reporting team in important meetings

• Manage several audits and priorities concurrently

• Oversee timelines, resources, and project deliverables

• Promote ongoing improvement in audit methodologies

• Recognize opportunities for automation and increased efficiency

• Keep abreast of audit standards, IT controls, cybersecurity, and regulatory obligations

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT audit, risk management, compliance, or internal controls

• Willingness to travel up to 10%

• Proven experience in leading audits, projects, or teams

• Professional certification such as CISA, CPA, CISM, CRISC, or CIA (or actively pursuing certification)

• Familiarity with IT controls, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, and enterprise systems

• Understanding of SOC audits and industry frameworks like NIST, ISO, or COBIT

• Strong communication, analytical, and project management abilities
