Manager, Corporate Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the VP of Corporate Development to establish and manage Americhem's M&A target pipeline.

• Identify potential acquisition targets that align with strategic growth objectives.

• Conduct preliminary evaluations of strategic fit, financial profiles, technologies, products, customers, and end markets.

• Create detailed company profiles, business cases, and acquisition recommendations for executive leadership.

• Work alongside R&D, commercial, operations, and finance teams to confirm target appeal and bridge information gaps.

• Present analyses and recommendations for targets during M&A pipeline review sessions.

• Initiate outreach and build relationships with potential target companies and their owners.

• Assist in due diligence processes and strategic research for ongoing transactions.

• Stay informed about market trends, competitors, and emerging technologies.

• Ensure a steady pipeline of qualified acquisition opportunities that support Americhem's long-term growth strategy.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Finance, Business, Strategy, or a related discipline is required.

• An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.

• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in the specialty chemicals, polymers, plastics, manufacturing, or a related industrial field.

• Preferred experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, business development, engineering, product management, or corporate development.

• M&A transaction experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Strong business acumen and a strategic mindset.

• Ability to quickly understand complex industries and markets.

• Highly analytical with outstanding attention to detail.

• Results-driven with a pronounced sense of urgency.

• Exceptional relationship-building and influencing capabilities.

• Comfortable collaborating within global, cross-functional teams.

• A self-motivated individual who can work independently with minimal supervision.
