This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Take full ownership of data center network deployment programs from initiation through execution, handoff, and closure.
• Create deployment strategies that encompass scope, resources, timelines, and interdependencies across network layers and teams.
• Facilitate weekly synchronization meetings, kickoff discussions, and alignment sessions across teams.
• Monitor milestones, tasks, and deliverables utilizing project management software.
• Oversee PO/pool allocations, hardware tracking, and material preparedness.
• Assess global supply status and verify demand against supply on a quarterly basis.
• Identify and address short-term supply risks and modify schedules in response to shortages.
• Enhance hardware distribution across various projects, regions, and the overall fleet.
• Direct the reuse of decommissioned hardware across network programs or for sparing requirements.
• Recognize and monitor risks and dependencies throughout deployment stages and network layers.
• Maintain dependency matrices and coordinate with upstream and downstream teams.
• Resolve scheduling conflicts across domains and ensure alignment of Network Engineering pillars on execution order and prioritization.
• Escalate obstacles and facilitate resolutions among cross-functional teams.
• Manage program communications, which include status reports, escalations, and executive briefings.
• Provide execution status updates to Network Planning teams for an execution-status-aware Plan of Record.
• Present data center capacity delivery metrics at leadership forums.
• Handle scope adjustments and ensure stakeholder alignment on timelines and deliverables.
• Conduct deployment retrospectives and document lessons learned.
• Lead process improvement initiatives, including hardware demand forecasting and the adoption or development of allocation tools.
• Share best practices and mentor junior project managers in deployment operations.
• Stay updated on network technologies, deployment strategies, and tools.
• Coordinate specialized deployments across Backend & AI/ML, Backbone IP & Migrations, Infrastructure & Enterprise Network, or Optical Network domains.
• Proven capability to independently manage and drive programs from start to finish without needing to escalate every decision.
• Excellent executive communication skills, with the ability to distill complex technical programs into concise status, risk, and trade-off narratives for leadership.
• Experience in managing competing priorities across multiple simultaneous deployments.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional teams without having direct authority.
• History of independently establishing structure in ambiguous situations.
• Familiarity with BOM management, hardware tracking, procurement coordination, and supply/demand planning.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts across optical transport, backbone/IP routing, data center fabric, and enterprise/facilities networking.
• Knowledge of the network deployment lifecycle from sourcing to staging, installation, turn-up, validation, and operational handoff.
• Ability to engage in cross-functional technical discussions, resolve issues, and communicate effectively with engineering partners without needing to configure or deploy equipment.
• Proficient in using project management tools.
• 5–8+ years of project/program management experience in network infrastructure, telecommunications, data centers, or hyperscale environments.
• Experience in coordinating large-scale deployments involving multiple stakeholders and vendors.
• Familiarity with network engineering workflows and deployment operations.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Willingness to travel up to 15% for site visits, workshops, and deployment support.
• Flexibility to support deployments across various time zones.
• Must be based in the US.
• Experience with AI/automation tools for workflow optimization is a bonus.
• PMP, PgMP, or equivalent project management certification is preferred.
• Network certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or JNCIA are advantageous but not mandatory.
• Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) processes is preferred.
• Domain-specific familiarity may include GPU cluster environments, high-performance computing, spine/leaf fabric architectures, backbone networks, migration planning, traffic engineering, enterprise networking, structured cabling, campus networks, facilities infrastructure, optical networking, photonic systems, fiber characterization, or telecom transport networks.
