Manager, Construction Remediation Project Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as the Deputy to the Director of Collaborative Delivery Enterprise Environmental Construction Services.

• Formulate and oversee multidisciplinary teams that encompass environmental science, engineering, compliance and permitting, cost estimating, procurement, pre-construction, construction, operations and maintenance, along with external partners.

• Create and execute environmental remediation, mitigation, restoration, closure, and smaller industrial and municipal water/wastewater initiatives.

• Direct project goals, decision-making processes, timelines, budgets, and key success metrics.

• Establish communication channels, inspire teams, mediate conflicts, offer constructive feedback, and cultivate trust and inclusiveness.

• Develop and sustain project scopes, timelines, work breakdown structures, and financial plans.

• Execute quality management strategies and procedures.

• Identify and oversee project modifications, risks, mitigation tactics, and risk assessment.

• Spearhead the creation and execution of project-specific health and safety protocols.

• Oversee third-party vendors and external resources to ensure adherence to contracted scope, quality, budget, and timeline.

• Monitor project profitability through earned value assessments, revenue projections, invoicing, and collections.

• Foster client relationships, evaluate satisfaction, and assist in sales, marketing, proposals, presentations, and cross-selling efforts.

• Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams; manage workload planning, performance evaluations, and team operations.

• Adapt and execute additional tasks as necessitated by changing needs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in project management, engineering, business administration, or a comparable field of experience is required.

• Project management certification or the capability to obtain certification within 6 months.

• At least 10 years of relevant experience in managing mid-size to large projects with increasing levels of responsibility.

• Demonstrated expertise in project planning and management, including budget oversight, risk assessment, contract management, change management, quality assurance, and safety leadership.

• Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.

• Experience in leading cross-functional teams.

• Background in environmental construction services projects, encompassing remediation, mitigation, restoration, closure, pilot testing, modifications/upgrades, or smaller water/wastewater construction efforts.

• Proficiency in delivering projects via design-build, EPC, CMAR, and progressive at-risk delivery models.

• Familiarity with procurement, cost estimation, pre-construction planning, subcontractor coordination, schedule creation, and resource allocation.

• Capability to collaborate across business units, client service teams, technical practices, shared services, and external subcontractor/supplier partners.

• Experience in contributing to business development, proposal creation, presentations, client engagement, and cross-selling initiatives.

• Willingness to travel for multiple consecutive days and occasionally on weekends, up to 20% annually.
