Manager, Community Relations – Outreach

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Create and implement all outreach and educational programs for members

• Coordinate the cultural competency strategy and the member/provider council initiatives

• Oversee the daily operations of the Community Relations & Outreach department

• Supervise the rollout and assessment of the communication strategy while promoting the company and its product offerings

• Design, update, and review health-related materials shared with members, ensuring they are appropriate in content, readable, and accurately translated

• Develop and execute statewide initiatives, which include outreach events, healthcare education, and incentive programs

• Assist in the development of budgets in collaboration with compliance and report financial implications to senior management

• Travel to various communities to build and sustain strategic partnerships

• Facilitate member/provider council meetings

• Help provide Medicare coverage and services

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship, now or in the future

• Preference for candidates residing in or near the Lubbock area

• Willingness to travel across assigned Texas service areas, including occasional evening or weekend community events

• Strong knowledge of Texas Medicaid populations and product lines, including STAR, CHIP, STAR+PLUS, and STAR Kids is highly preferred

• Experience in utilizing data and reporting tools to identify community needs, prioritize resources, assess outreach effectiveness, and enhance operational efficiency is highly preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, a related field, or equivalent experience

• 4-6 years of experience in marketing, communication, or public relations

• Public speaking, copywriting, and design skills are highly desirable

• Healthcare experience is preferred

• Valid state driver's license is required
