This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• Develop community objectives that are in line with portfolio and departmental goals to enhance member engagement.
• Ensure the successful implementation of assigned community objectives, activities, educational opportunities, and member connection experiences.
• Act as the staff design authority for both live and virtual member engagement initiatives.
• Provide expertise in program design, event planning, logistics, communications, and member engagement.
• Collaborate with member leads and leadership teams for strategic and tactical planning.
• Serve as the staff liaison and operational partner for community leaders.
• Oversee project management for signature events and core product deliverables.
• Maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), member engagement data, community budgets, and training materials.
• Assist in the selection and continuity of community leadership.
• Support member-leader meetings and the development of leadership skills.
• Work in collaboration with Products, technology, marketing communications, marketing, and partnerships teams.
• Ensure a positive user experience and accessibility of community platforms.
• Create and disseminate monthly community event calendars.
• Provide cross-training and support for product design and portfolio initiatives.
• Lead the complete execution of selected in-person regional GSEA competitions.
• Assist in the execution of the global GSEA finals, including on-ground production support and student briefings.
• Form regional committees to plan competitions.
• Identify chapters and communities that can adopt and support GSEA.
• Manage regional GSEA competition expenses from the planning phase through reporting.
• Support the leadership development process and updates to the product portfolio.
• Host bi-monthly GSEA calls for chairs and champions.
• Provide global resources and tools for GSEA chairs.
• Assist in the collection of student competitor content for marketing materials and newsletters.
• Achieve annual metrics for chapter competitions and country participation.
• Represent and advocate for GSEA at EO and partner conferences.
• Bachelor’s degree in any field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in community management or event planning.
• Ideally, experience with larger-scale communities or events with over 500 participants.
• At least two years of direct experience in association, event planning, or coordination-related work.
• Demonstrated experience collaborating successfully with entrepreneurs on various projects.
• Coaching experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and presentation tools.
• Some capabilities in graphic design.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively in teams with high accountability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Competence in communicating effectively with staff and members globally.
• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
• Experience in an international working environment.
• Willingness to participate in virtual and in-person meetings.
• Ability to travel up to 15% as needed.
• Availability for occasional early morning/evening meetings across different time zones.
• Capability to lift or move up to 30 pounds when necessary.
