This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Direct IAIC’s quality management, audit, and testing initiatives across assigned insurance operations.
• Create and sustain a risk-based quality assurance and operational audit framework.
• Manage audits and assessments for claims, policy management, licensing, appeals, customer service, fulfillment, and other related areas.
• Analyze audit results, detect trends and risks, and offer suggestions for enhancement.
• Track quality metrics and operational performance to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Compile and present reports on audit findings, emerging risks, and remediation actions.
• Assist with regulatory reviews, market conduct investigations, and other carrier oversight activities.
• Collaborate with business leaders and delegated administrators to guarantee adherence to regulatory, contractual, and carrier obligations.
• Supervise corrective action planning, execution, and validation.
• Assess operational processes, controls, workflows, and system upgrades for efficiency and compliance.
• Aid in the testing and validation of new processes, technologies, and regulatory updates.
• Maintain quality management policies, procedures, audit standards, and training resources.
• Act as a point of escalation for major quality, compliance, and operational risk challenges.
• Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing Quality Management team.
• Oversee team priorities, workloads, and performance to ensure timely completion of audits and evaluations.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, employee development, and succession planning.
• Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
• Over 7 years of experience in insurance operations, quality assurance, auditing, compliance, claims, policy management, or similar areas.
• Proven experience in leading and developing teams.
• Background in managing quality assurance, audit, compliance monitoring, or operational testing programs.
• Strong grasp of insurance operations and delegated oversight frameworks.
• Proven experience in assessing operational controls, recognizing risks, and executing process improvements.
• Competency in data analysis, resolving complex issues, and conveying findings to leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, Risk Management, Compliance, Finance, or a related discipline preferred.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be taken into account.
• Experience supporting carrier operations and delegated authority programs is preferred.
• Familiarity with third-party administrators, vendors, or external business partners is preferred.
• Experience overseeing corrective action plans, remediation projects, and operational risk initiatives is preferred.
• Experience aiding regulatory examinations, audits, or compliance assessments is preferred.
• Professional certifications in auditing, compliance, quality management, or insurance are preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance operations, quality assurance, auditing, compliance, and risk management principles.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and implement corrective measures.
