Cloud Operations Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with solutions architects and business stakeholders to identify, design, develop, and implement infrastructure engineering solutions for WM and TM platforms.

• Oversee an operations team that supports SaaS Kubernetes applications in OCI and AWS environments.

• Provide training and mentorship to Operations Engineers.

• Deliver SLA-focused responses to event-driven alerts and incidents.

• Ensure the swift execution of plans to deploy new technologies.

• Lead the triage and prioritization of tickets by the Client Services organization.

• Assist in troubleshooting issues related to operating systems, applications, virtualization, and containerization.

• Collaborate with the Engineering team to develop automation and processes that enhance operational SLAs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

• Over 3 years in a management or leadership position.

• More than 5 years of experience in an operations capacity.

• At least 5 years of experience supporting large-scale .NET applications.

• Over 5 years of experience in OCI and AWS-based environments.

• Fundamental understanding of both Linux and Windows operating systems.

• Subject Matter Expert in managing and implementing Kubernetes solutions.

• Proficient in applying Infrastructure as Code principles and technologies, including Terraform.

• Extensive automation experience with Azure DevOps, Ansible, PowerShell, Groovy, Python, etc.

• Hands-on experience in collecting performance data, analyzing, troubleshooting, and tuning systems.

• Well-acquainted with application containers such as IIS and Tomcat.

• Full-stack troubleshooting experience.

• Familiarity with SCM tools, particularly Git.

• Nice to have: Multi-cloud experience, particularly with AWS support.

• Nice to have: Experience managing Java applications.

• Nice to have: Hands-on experience with Dynatrace.

• Nice to have: Experience managing Helm-templated Kubernetes environments.

• Nice to have: Understanding of microservice architectures.

• Nice to have: Experience with application protocols and messages such as TCP/IP, HTTP, SOAP, SMTP, RESTful APIs, XML/JSON, JDBC, and JMS/MQ.

• Nice to have: Exposure to application threading and concurrency issues.

• Nice to have: Experience troubleshooting response times, connectivity, authentication, authorization, and configuration challenges.

• Nice to have: Experience in hosted global data center environments supporting geographically dispersed systems.
